KRISHNA ANGARAKA SPECIAL
UDUPI YATRA
Overview
When the Krishna Paksha (dark fortnight), Tuesday (Mangalavara), and the 14th lunar day (Chaturdashi Tithi) coincide in any month, it is called Krishnangaraka Chaturdashi. This auspicious conjunction occurs only once a year or sometimes once in several years. Sacred baths, prayers, and Tarpana (water offerings) performed on this day bestow immense spiritual benefits.
Taking a holy dip in the Suvarna River on Krishnangaraka Chaturdashi is considered deeply sacred. On this day, hundreds of devotees gather at the riverbanks to take a holy bath, chant mantras, offer Tarpana, and experience spiritual fulfillment.
