Are the routes very difficult?
Previously, travel on these routes was extremely challenging, making the pilgrimage to Badri particularly arduous due to numerous potholes and the severe difficulties faced by pilgrims during landslides. However, the initiation of the Chardham Parikrama project by our respectable Sri Modi has led to the construction of all-weather roads, significantly easing the journey. A well-maintained highway now exists, making travel considerably less difficult than in the past.
Do people feel dizzy and fall?
When people from the plains reach altitudes above 6000 feet, the body begins acclimatizing, often resulting in dizziness, blocked ears, and a slightly elevated heart rate. While these are common initial reactions, they usually subside quickly. Not everyone feels dizzy and falls. If that were the case, the road to Badri would be full of people who have fallen due to dizziness. But what is seen there are people joyfully and enthusiastically moving around! Hundreds of people taking selfies!
Do Landslides occur often?
Landslides usually occur during the rainy season and for a month after the rainy season. Now landslides are prevented to a great extent. Even if a landslide does occur, the probability of danger to travelers is very low. The measures for the protection of travelers have improved a lot. The debris of the collapsed mountain is removed even in the middle of the night to ensure smooth traffic.
Are the routes here terrifying?
It’s challenging to definitively say if the Badrinath roads are frightening, as fear is subjective. People have different tolerances; If you are comfortable with the Tirumala bus route, you might not get scared here. Someone fearful on the Bangalore-Chitradurga road would likely feel the same on Badrinath road.
The roads ascend to very high altitudes alongside deep valleys, which can be initially intimidating. However, with time, travelers usually become accustomed to the journey.
The road to Badrinath is picturesque
The route going to Badrinath is very ruggedly beautiful. The height of the mountains, the depth of the valleys, the Ganga and Alakananda rivers look like milk! Cotton-like clouds everywhere! All of this is rare for us South Indians.
The bus starts climbing the mountain from Rishikesh. Seeing your fearful faces gradually blooming with astonishment and joy, is a pleasure for me. I would love to experience it every time I take yatris to Badrinath.
The route between Pipalkoti and Badrinath is truly divine. All of you must see it. Our itinerary has been designed in such a way that you too should witness this beauty. We will make every effort possible from our side to make your yatra experience beautiful.
We expect only two things from you.
- Soft words and your friendly cooperation
- Punctuality.
